IDNSA Event- AIASA East Nusa Tenggara Disaster Fundraising Event.

In 2021, the most widely documented major disaster in East Nusa Tenggara was the April 2021 Tropical Cyclone Seroja floods and landslides, not the 2020 disaster. Public reports describe severe flooding and landslides across NTT, with many deaths, missing people, damaged homes, and displaced communities

The Indonesian Diaspora Network South Australia (IDNSA) and the Australian Indonesian Association of South Australia (AIASA) collaborated to support communities affected by the disaster in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Led and initiated by Ivonne Callow, the current President of the Indonesian Diaspora Network of South Australia, the collaboration involved Juliana, the former President of the Australian Indonesian Association of South Australia

The initiative brought together the Indonesian community and friends of Indonesia in South Australia to raise awareness, mobilise donations, and demonstrate solidarity with families impacted by the crisis.

Through this collaboration, IDNSA and AIASA strengthened community engagement, promoted compassion across borders, and contributed practical support to disaster-affected communities during a time of great need. The event reflected the shared commitment of both organisations to humanitarian action, cultural connection, and the well-being of Indonesian communities in both Australia and Indonesia.
